Holiday Book Exchange
Each year the 3rd grade team participates in a holiday book exchange. This activity not only promotes reading, it teaches the gift of giving! Please see the note that is going home tomorrow for more details. We are asking that each child bring in a book appropriate for a 3rd grader that is wrapped by Wednesday, December 18th. Your child will leave with a different book that is a gift from another member of the 3rd grade! We understand that December can be a difficult time financially for families. If you would like a book donated to your child to participate, please fill out the form accordingly and I would be happy to provide your child with a book to participate with. This is a fun activity that we will share in on Friday, December 20th during the school day!
On that note, be sure to check out the Red Cedar Book Fair taking place next week from December 9th-December 13th in the Red Cedar Library. The book fair will be open the following days and times:
Monday-Wednesday
8:20-8:50 AM and 3:15-4:15 PM
Thursday & Friday

All School Movie-Disney's Frozen!
A permission slip for the annual tradition of the whole school movie field trip will be going home tomorrow! The field trip will take place on Friday, December 20th. This year our school will be watching the movie Frozen. The bus cost will be covered by the RCSA (thank you!!), but we are asking that parents send in $8 per child to cover the cost of the movie and a popcorn kids pack. Checks can be made payable to East Lansing Public Schools. If you are in need of a scholarship to help pay for this expense, please mark that accordingly on the permission slip. The permission slip and money is due by Wednesday, December 13th.
