Dear Parents and Families,
The MEAP test for reading will take place on Tuesday, October 8th and Wednesday, October 9th. The math MEAP will take place on Tuesday, October 15th. These tests are not timed, but the children are required to complete each section in one sitting. Here are some important tips to help your child be successful on the MEAP test:
1) Make sure your child gets a good night's sleep the night prior to the testing day.
2) Please make sure your child has a substantial, healthy breakfast on the mornings of the MEAP test.
3) Please ease your child's anxiety about the MEAP test by telling them it is to help his/her teacher know what they know as a learner and that all they can do is try their best and take their time.
Next week there will be no spelling test. The reason for this is to ease the load for parents and students so that they can be sure to get to bed at a decent time prior to the test.
If you have any questions regarding MEAP testing, please feel free to comment on this post or e-mail me privately at [email protected]. **Please remember that your comments on this blog post are public! Thank you!** :)
Sincerely,
Daryl Bean
